Join us at YogaOne Kingwood this summer for a unique therapeutic workshop for high school girls. This is a chance to decrease anxiety and lower stress immediately! This mind-body experience provides a holistic opportunity to gain skills for daily life: reduce stress, manage anxiety, calm unwanted and intrusive thoughts, and so much more! The first part of group will be led by an experienced yoga instructor. Participants will learn yoga poses and sequences to still the mind and build strength in a safe and supportive environment. No previous yoga experience necessary! The second part will be facilitated by licensed therapist, Christine Foster, LCSW. This will include information about how yoga impacts the brain and reduces psychological distress. We will explore other therapeutic skills and interventions such as meditation and mindfulness, expressive arts, guided imagery, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and group discussion.
Come to just one or all four! Each workshop will be unique and focus on a new strategy/skill.
